Agro Douro Verde Talks – Resilience and Sustainability in Rural Territories is the theme of the meeting to be held on 26 October at the MACC Baião, starting at 9.30am, where topics related to the entire rural world will be presented and debated.
Organised by Baião Town Council, the Agro Douro Verde talks are designed to explore the challenges and opportunities for strengthening rural communities and protecting the environment.
The meeting will be attended by experts and officials from organisations linked to the sector, who will address issues such as adapting to climate change, forestry intervention zones, the Common Agricultural Policy Strategic Plan and the region’s hunting potential, among others.
After the presentations, a debate will be launched with testimonies from local partners.
The mayor of Baião, Paulo Pereira, will speak at the opening of the session. At the closing session, after a speech by the Councillor for Economic Affairs, José Lima, the president of the Northern Coordination and Rural Development Commission, António Cunha, will speak.
