To take advantage of this service, residents must make a request to the Municipality
of Baião, in writing, via e-mail to geral@cm-baiao.pt, by telephone to 255540500, or in
person.
In order to speed up the process, citizens can bring a completed application available
on the municipality’s website at https://bit.ly/3aMHfsu.
Collection is carried out on a day and time to be agreed between the local authority
and the citizen and the service is free of charge, as long as it does not exceed 1100L
per day.
It is important to remember that it is the responsibility of residents to transport and
package bulky waste in a place accessible to the collection vehicle and in accordance
with the instructions of the municipal services.
“Household garbage” is household appliances, electronic equipment, old furniture and
sofas, mattresses and other waste which, due to its characteristics or volume, cannot
be disposed of in recycling bins or in unsorted waste bins. However, they can and
should be sent for recycling.
