Within the scope of the Municipal Educational Project, 119 7th grade students, from the School Groups of the Municipality of Baião, visited the Serra da Aboboreira, namely the Megalithic Complex of Aboboreira – the Dolmen Meninas do Crasto and the Dolmen of Chã de Parada.
As a reminder, Serra da Aboboreira was recognized as a Regional Protected Landscape.
The visits, which took place during the months of April and May, were aimed at promoting the discovery and interest of young people in the county’s archaeological heritage.
In addition to the monitoring given by technicians from the Education sector of the Municipality of Baião, some visits were attended by a representative of the Green Team, who addressed the issue of certification of the municipality as a Sustainable Tourist Destination, and a representative of the Culture Sector which encouraged students to visit the heritage of Baião.
