To have this service, citizens must make a request to the Municipality of Baião, in writing, through the email geral@cm-baiao.pt, by telephone number 255540500, or in person. The collection is carried out on a day and time to be agreed between the municipality services and the citizen and the service is free, as long as it does not exceed 1100L daily. It is important to remember that it is the responsibility of the citizens to transport and pack the bulky waste to a place accessible to the collection vehicle and according to the instructions of the municipal services. “Domestic monsters” are household appliances, electronic equipment, old furniture and sofas, mattresses and other waste that, given their characteristics or volume, cannot be deposited in recycling bins or in the unsorted waste container. However, they can and should be sent for recycling.
