On September 25th we celebrate National Sustainability Day!

The Resolution of the Council of Ministers was published on June 9th, establishing September 25th as National Sustainability Day.

The date is symbolic: On this day, in 2015, the United Nations adopted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which must be implemented by all countries by 2030.

Portugal became the first country to celebrate this date. Sustainability is now seen as a global goal, which requires everyone’s intervention. This initiative is of vital importance for the dissemination of information, the promotion of knowledge and the training of all social actors to consciously change behaviors with transformative potential for a sustainable future.

Baião, a Sustainable Tourist Destination, embraces National Sustainability Day and calls for everyone to participate.

On this day, from 2pm to 6pm, at Praça Eça de Queiroz, Vila de Baião, come and participate in the Educational Workshop “Me and Nature”, by Quokka, and evaluate your daily sustainability footprint.

We are waiting for you!

Be part of our Journey towards a Greener and more Sustainable future.
