We celebrate the richness, beauty and intrinsic value of wildlife and its contributions to sustainable development and human well-being, including ecological, genetic, social, economic, scientific, educational, cultural, recreational and aesthetic.
Proclaimed by the United Nations, this year the theme is “Partnerships for the Conservation of Wildlife” and the date is special as it also marks the 50th anniversary of CITES – Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
