The section, which Baião is part of, met on the 15th of March, at the headquarters of the ANMP, in Coimbra, to analyze and decide on the actions to be carried out in the period between 2023 and 2025.
The Section’s Action Plan, developed in line with the main challenges posed to municipalities under the new Climate Base Law, has a set of strategic objectives that aim, namely, to train municipalities in the various matters related to Climate Action.
In addition to training, the Action Plan, which is intended to be dynamic, also provides for the training of mayors, managers and municipal technicians, the dissemination and discussion of the financing framework and other incentive systems, as well as education, awareness and communication for Climate Action.
At the plenary meeting, a work methodology was adopted based on the constitution of working groups for the development and preparation of the various actions foreseen in the action plan.
The working group for Theme 1 “Training of Municipalities for the Basic Climate Law” includes the municipalities of Baião; Guimaraes, Mafra and Maia.
