Today, October 3rd, we celebrate World Habitat Day!
This day was instituted through Resolution 40/202, adopted at the United Nations General Assembly on December 17, 1985, to reflect on the state of our habitats and on everyone’s basic right to adequate housing.
In 2022, under the theme “Mind the Gap. Leave No One and No Place Behind”, seeks to draw attention to growing inequalities and vulnerabilities exacerbated by the pandemic, climate change and conflict.
“I am I and my circumstance; and, if I do not save it, I do not save myself.” (Jose Ortega y Gasset)
